I got this recipe for rice from my aunt Fraidy, and I love it. It is simple and very flexible. This is a great addition for chicken, especially when its with a sauce.

Fraidy's Rice
2 cups rice
1 can sliced mushroom
1 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon oregano
4-5 Tablespoon onion soup mix
2 1/2  cups water

Combine all ingredients in a 9x13 pan.
Do NOT mix.
Cover and put in oven at 350, bake for 1 hour
Mix gently.

If using BROWN rice, add water and bake for longer
can mushrooms can be substituted for fresh, add some water though.
Onion soup mix can be substituted with a few squirts of soy sauce
